The modern research and developpment center of Tianjin Maidisen Chemical CO., LTD. boasts 30 researchers , including 10 senior engineers at professor's level and six personnel with Ph.D degrees. The director of the center is Professor Liu Lunzu from Nankai University.

Organic chemistry and agrochemicals have been decided to be the main orientations for research.The center consists of the research rooms photo stabilizers & initiators, dyes and pigments, water treating agents and medical intermediates. All are led by senior professors from Nankai University.Currently, the company is taking the lead in the research and development of photo stabilizers & initiators and agrochemicals, and occupying a dominant position in China in the research and development of dyes and pigments and water treating agents.

The company is keeping close cooperation with Nankai University and Tianjin University. It has also invited experts and professors in biochemistry from research institutions of the two universities to do research work in the R&D Center.

The company has also established long-term strategic cooperative relationship with companies and research institutions from the United States, Holland, Britain, Japan and Switzerland.
